Positive Displacement Pumps
Positive Displacement Pumps operate by drawing in the materials through the inlet flange and then it is processed, then the material is pushed back out of the pump through the outlet, the inlet and outlet are both fitted with non return valves. This type of pump allows for high pressures to process the material and they generally have a large capacity, which also allows for a high flow rate.Positive Displacement Pumps are mechanically of hydraulically driven, with the benefits of hydraulics being it can have a higher flow rate and pressure which is constantly maintained. Through every pump cycle the amount of material processed is often maintained at the same level, this is helped to be balanced by the use of Surge Arrestors, which help to maintain a smooth flow of material through the inlet and outlet of the pump.
These pumps are very cost affective as they provide a Back to previous page constant performance for long periods, with low running and maintenance costs. They are available in different sizes to ensure the best is used for the job in hand, which
means they are capable of operating in many different
conditions and environments.
